Fall Wedding at Berkeley Events

Emily and Brian’s fall wedding was a tribute to both their love and to the season.

The “Harvest Table” theme was reflected in all aspects of the wedding. The Berkeley Fieldhouse at the historic Berkeley Events on Queen Street West in Toronto was decorated with with local garden flowers. Tables were decorated with small arrangements of garden-picked flowers in an assortment of one of a kind beautiful glassware. Small preserving jars filled with handfuls of flowers were suspended around the ceremony area, creating a lovely rural feel in a very urban environment. Each guest took home as a wedding favour homemade cranberry jam, which was packaged with rustic charm in preserving jars. And, instead of a wedding cake, guests enjoyed a slice of delicious harvest pie.

The Berkeley Events has 3 venue spaces: Berkeley Fieldhouse, Airship 37, and the 871 Berkeley Church. All have been transformed into wonderful spaces that blend traditional ambience with modern decor. The 1871 Berkley Church is a landmark historic building on Queen Street. The original 17-foot stained glass windows and hardwood floors are still there.

Emily and Brian’s reception was in the Berkeley Fieldhouse, and the ceremony and took place in the beautiful walled garden next door.
