At a lovely recent wedding at the Toronto Hunt Club, our second shooter captured a “moment in time” – the flower girl enjoying watching the groomsmen and the groom being photographed.
We had an absolutely wonderful day photographing a wedding at a cottage perched on a hill overlooking a Northern Ontario lake. The heat spell had just broken. The sky was a brilliant blue, and a cool breeze was blowing. Sometimes white is so overrated. Jennifer chose to wear a simple, elegant green dress for her cottage wedding. Lovely!

On Friday, we photographed a lovely wedding on a perfect spring day. The reception was held at Casa Loma, and photos were taken in the gardens, which were lush and beautiful. Here are just a couple of photos of a peaceful bride and her junior attendants.

Destination weddings are exciting for wedding photographers. We had the great opportunity to photograph Nicole and Ben’s marriage in Hermanus, South Africa. Hermanus is close to the gorgeous Stellenbosch wine region, and it’s known for whale watching. The dark overcast sky added a dramatic effect to the outside shots.

Joel and Jocelyn had a fabulous “vintage movie” wedding in downtown Toronto. Everything, from the dress to the movie posters that were incorporated into the table decorations, was designed to reflect the theme. Even the first dance was vintage. Joel and Jocelyn did one last practice just before they left the salon for the ceremony at the Columbus Centre.

Without exception, brides radiate bliss on their wedding day. It doesn’t seem to matter how stressed out they may have been in the days leading up to the wedding. On the wedding day, as things are coming together, a joyful calm takes over.

Without a doubt, children add a richness to weddings that you can’t buy with a million dollars. We have lots of fun with the kids at the weddings we photograph. Sometimes, kids ham it up for the camera. Sometimes, they are just themselves as they do the jobs they have been assigned, or take in the celebration.
